Closing price: 1335.44

Current  target price:  1322+.

Resistance: 1340.80, 134350, 1354.50*+

Support: 1331, 1322-1329

Trend: Sdwys/Down

Trend reversal price: 1354.50

Comment: Friday's break signals a downturn from recent congestion and calls for follow through selloffs, open to a potential selling wave against 1322.50. A close under 1321.00 is bearish. Trade may climb back to further sideways congestion in the low 1340's without changing the bear bias. A close over 1354.50* is needed to flip trend forces to the upside.

Entry levels: 1336 - 1342

Target: 1322+

Invalidation: 1346

A rejection from 1330+ will form a new pattern to challenge 1348-50 first target, then a retracement to 1344-46, with a daily close above 1354 confirms bull pattern targeting 1370+.

Entry levels: 1322- 1324

Target: 1370

Invalidation: 1316

Gold is currently trading 1353.10 on Thursday, near yesterday's high at 1355.54. Technically, gold has been forming four consecutive daily bullish grabbers since Monday which makes the breakout almost in case the precious metal closed above 1353 on daily basis. As for swing trading, the near term first target for the successful break out will be aimed at 1370+/-.

 Technical summary:

Closing price: 1349.20

Target price: None at the moment

Resistance: 1353.50*, 1358.40

Support: 1346.20-1345, 13438.50*-

Trend: Sdwys/Up / daily

Trend reversal price: 1340.50 / daily close

Comment: The short term trend is in question. Trade holds a slight bull bias based on creeping rallies off 1340.50* support. A close over 1353.50* rekindles bull trend forces. A reluctance to close over 1354.50* warns for a shift back to defensive trade. A close under 134050* will trigger selloffs. A drop through 1327.00 implies a decline to 1320.00-1316.00.

The Loonie showed recovery signs on Wednesday's EU trading session and clocked 1.2595 high after dipping yesterday at 1.2525 low. Technically, the pair is still testing 5-EMA daily with failure to close above it. As for daily RSI, a reading of 37 indicates that the pair is reaching an overbought status and could start a reversing upturn in the soon coming sessions.

Eyes today will be focused on BoC rate decision with a no-game changer for interests, to be kept at current 1.25%, which makes the press conference headed by Gov. Poloz an extreme volatile situation for the CAD depending on the answers.

 USD/CAD technical summary:

 Closing price: 1.2549

Target price: None at the moment

Resistance: 1.2588 , 1.2626, 1.2683 7990, 8013-8020

Support:  1.2515, 1.2479*, 1.2450* 7944, 7920*, 7884*

Trend: Down / daily

Trend reversal price: 1.2683* 78.84

Comment: The market is short term friendly and close under 1.2450* could fuel another bear leg. A reluctance to extend down from recent sideways flagging days alerts for a turnover into a few corrective congestion days. A close over 1.2626 will prompt near term correction to 1.2683.
